Biomass Heating

Wood-fuelled heating systems are also called biomass systems. They burn chips, logs or wood pellets to heat a single room or they can power hot water boilers and central heating systems.

Our engineers are HETAS and MCS accredited to  install, service and maintain a range of biomass boilers in Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.

Biomass boilers need to be serviced regularly to optimise the boilers performance and reduce costly breakdowns.

Air Source Heat Pump

ASHPs (Air Source Heat Pumps) can absorb heat from the air outside. ASHPs can heat your hot water and your home even when the temperature outside drop to -15°C. The heat from the air absorbs at low temperature into a fluid. The fluid will pass through a compressor; this will increase the temperature of the liquid and then transfer heat to the hot water and heating systems of the house.

There are two main types of Air source heat pumps, air-to-air and air-to-water. The method you choose will determine the type of heat distribution system you require.

Our engineers are MCS accredited to install, maintain and service air source heat pumps.

We can also offer assistance to homeowners looking to upgrade their heating systems through the government  Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS). This scheme aims to support the decarbonization of heat in buildings by providing an upfront grant of £7,500 to help cover the costs of installing heat pumps and biomass boilers in homes and non-domestic buildings in England and Wales. Our specialists team can help you find out  if you are eligible for the BUS scheme and guide you through the process of applying for funding to upgrade your boiler system. Solar Thermal

Solar water heating systems use solar panels. These panels are called collectors and are fitted onto your roof. These panels will collect heat from the sun and use it to heat your water that stores in a hot water cylinder. An immersion heater or gas boiler can be used as a back up to heat the water to a higher temperature you require.

Solar Panels

Solar panels work by collecting clean, renewable energy in the form of sunlight. The solar panels convert that sunlight into electricity which can then provide electrical power.

Stove Heating

A central heating stove will combine two functions in just a single appliance. The fire of the stove will provide comfort and heat in your living area. The stove will also provide energy for the pre-heating of water for the central heating system and hot water.

Cold water flows to the central heating stove and is heated using a heat exchanger from the heat the stove produces.

Thermal Store

The installation of thermal stores are a way of managing and storing renewable heat until it is required. In a residential property, the heated water can be stored in a well-insulated cylinder with a large capacity. These are often called an accumulator tank or a buffer. Thermal stores have shown to work exceptionally well with heat pumps, wood-fuelled biomass boilers, solar water heating systems and wind energy.
